9TH TO 10TH COURSE REQUESTS
ONLINE WINDOW JAN 21st-30th
It is time to get ready for next year! You will be selecting your electives online through Student Connect. Each grade level will have their own window to enter their elective selections.
Incoming Sophomores (current freshmen):
January 21st-30th

January 6th Email Notification of CTE Pathway plan sent to 9th grade families

January 10th Pathway presentations and selection in Alaska Studies courses *Initial Pathway survey now closed

January 13th Counselors will conduct make up presentations for absent students

January 21st and 22nd Online Course Request for 25/26 school year presentations in Alaska Studies courses

January 23rd-January 30th Counselors will conduct make up presentations for absent students

January 21st- January 30th Online Course Request Window for current freshmen- NOW CLOSED. English, Social Studies, and CTE classes were entered on 1/20. Math will be entered based on Teacher Recommendations after Spring Break. Students will choose Science and Electives.

January 31st-May 21st Students wishing to change their elective requests can do so by filling out the Change to Elective Request form

February 1st-May 21st Changes to CTE Pathway can be completed by filling out the Change to Pathway survey or Elective Requests should be sent to your student's counselor to enter
CHOOSING YOUR SCIENCE COURSE
For sophomore year students will be choosing a Physical Science course. This year all freshmen were in Biology which counted as a Life Science. The Graduation Requirement for Science is 3 credits:

1 credit Life Science

1 credit Physical Science
-
1 credit of either area
Our Science Department created handouts for the two Physical Science options for next year (click on the name for more info on the class):
The prerequisite for Chemistry is the completion of Geometry freshman year and an A or B in Biology.

Important: When entering your requests, please DO NOT use alternates, simply enter all your choices in order of preference. Make sure you hit "Submit" when you are finished to save your choices. If you don't hit submit your selections will not be saved

Once the window closes, and you would like to make changes or you didn't enter your courses online, please print a paper copy from the bottom of this page.
